Short weekend road trip from Boston to the heart of Vermont. The foliage was just about at the peak - beautiful, despite the changeable weather. Highway 100 (northbound) is one of the most scenic roads during foliage and if you like to be "on top of things" make sure to reserve some time for the Toll Road to the Mt. Mansfield mountain top in Stowe (http://www.gostowe.com/thingstodo/sports/auto-toll-road).
On a trip to Vermont you can't drive by the original Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream Factory (http://www.benjerry.com/scoop-shops/factory-tours) and the Cold Hollow Cider Mill, both located in Waterbury just minutes from Stowe.
