Day three started with a long drive from Cleveland to Chicago crossing Indiana with miles and miles of farm land. The highlight was probably that we identified a WholeFoods market in South Bend (IN). Thanks to the change from Eastern to Central time we arrived well on time to see the beginning of Route 66 at the corner of Adams and Michigan. To celebrate the starting point of our road trip adventure we cheered with a beer at Starbucks (yes the coffee shop...!!!) on the very same corner.
And, of course, a visit to the Windy City wouldn't be complete without the magnificent view from the Skydeck on the 103rd floor of Willis Tower.
So far we completed 1066 miles of our trip and crossed 6 states (MA, NY, PA, OH, IN, IL) and two time zones.
