News from the Bride and Groom

Let me just start by saying that Alan and I are both SO happy and excited to have received such positive and enthusiastic responses from you guys! Once we mailed the save the dates and put up the website, we got really lovely reactions from all parts of the world and the RSVPs started to pour in. For those of you who have not rsvp-ed yet, don't worry - we will let you attend our wedding as long as you promise to do the dishes! *LOL* No, I'm just kidding. But it would be great if you could just fill out the RSVP form on our website at your earliest convenience. Seriously, it is so great to be planning our wedding and to know that you guys are also all looking forward to it and to your holidays in the U.S.!
Since we want to make the travel planning as convenient and easy for you as possible, I am going to post a first travel advice right after this post. I hope that it will tease your travel creativity neurons and give you a first idea of what beatiful things there are to be seen near our wedding venue.
As some of you have noticed (and admonished ;-)), we have not posted anything recently. I guess that's okay since the wedding is still a while from now, but we will do our best to blog more frequently in the months to come. We have both been incredibly busy lately. Alan has been studying for his bar exam continously and has had his written exams in September / October. His oral exams are coming up in December, so he is already hunched over his books again daily. I have passed my bar exam exactly a month ago, which was a great relief. I took some time off to just relax and wind down right after the exam, but soon started to apply for jobs and to attend job interviews. Luckily, everything went really well and smooth: I got exactly the job I wanted and am excited to start to work again on Monday.
So that's about it from us for now. Don't forget to check out the travel advice I am going to post right after this and take care.
